Our shopping portals are gaining momentum and the sales has been a pleasant surprise for us.
At the www.handmadetiles.co.za website, we sold 6 tiles from the category ” In Circles We Walk” and the testimonial of this sale makes us proud.

At our www.arttilegallery.com website, we sold the following Arttile by Gerrit Oosthuizen.
The greatest achievement is the fabulous spin-offs from these sites, and the income generated from commissioned sales are actually outstripping the actual sales!!
The building of these websites of which both are still in development took 1000’s of hours of photographing, editing, loading, labeling, etc. to feed the sites, a mammoth task for a small studio like ours!

Gerrit, this is one of the most beautiful art tiles you have ever created. The colours are magnificent! The scattered leaves - it leaves an impression of how tender flowers are - there is something about this tile that is difficult to put into words! - best I can say is that it really is perfect to my mind.
We are also SO glad that these new websites are doing so well after all the hours of hard word you have put into it. I’m sure it was a mammoth task but it is already paying off so it was worth the effort. We have looked at the other handmade tiles as well and it is so hard to choose because they are all so beautiful but my favourites are 2 Birds in a Tree, Twittering Birds and Flowers of Gold. We will certainly follow the growth of the websites too.

The sad thing with these tiles is that a huge number of these tiles crack, due to my application techniques. I apply the pigments at times up to 10mm thick and this extreme unevenness creates uneven “hot” spots making the tiles to crack.
Successful arttiles like these make it worth my while to continue on this treacherous route!
Keep going back as we are in the process to load an amazing amount of product ahead of season!
