The past days the Cape and Hermanus in particular got drenched by rain. With all the kilns firing it was quite cosy to work in but with the high humidity it takes so much longer to dry production, … and with deadlines looming, we all hope that the sun will shine soon!

Rain on the one continent and snow on the other! The world is an interesting place and we are part of it. I hope you have been able to make all your deadlines, Gerrit. I can imagine it must have been quite frustrating but by now things are surely back to normal and you can go on producing and creating - especially the last!

Our delft order deadline is hanging like a sword above us…the marbelite topping in the kitchen was replaced by solid wood with double the thickness and this parameter change forced us to remake most of the tiles to fit the new dimensions, making us loose valuable time! With all the rain the porcelain tiles dry so slow and delays the show of problems when eventually firing the completed decoration.
We shall be working 24/7 till end January with some bookings with deadlines in March that will need attention….bizzy bizzy!
