This handmade ceramic panel has been installed lately in Durban.

It is made up of metro tiles, 75 x 150mm in size and with custom sizes, so that the artist could harmoniously arrange the herb words inside the border.

Although the herb names or words are a classic we did complete another mural at the same time with the husband’s special chilli recipe instead!

The off-white or bone white colour of the metro tile is the choice of most clients as it blends seamlessly with all interiors.

Wow, what a kitchen, Gerrit! I like the clean, straight lines but the shape of your mural does the trick! It gives a touch of “softness” and prevents that the whole becomes too clinical. What a wonderful idea too that recipe inside the mural. You’ve done it again and I’m sure you can add another very happy and satified customer to what must be very long list by now!!!

    Hi Gerrit
Nice to see our kitchen on your website…. Been browsing for inspiration for a friend’s kitchen - to be built later this year!

Would love the chilli recipe ? Or is it a well guarded secret?

Cheers - hope 2012 is good to you all at Southern Art!
