The myTILE team is dedicated to creating inspirational objects. The team consists of Gillian Greer, Helé Oosthuizen, Grace Mcinjana and myself.

Business Description:

Southern Art Ceramics design and produce one-of-a-kind, artistically rich, high quality ceramic tiles, panels and objects for decorators, architects and private individuals.

Unlike commercial ceramic products, our range of products allows for a great deal of creativity and certainly adds a touch of luxury to any home or business.

About the author

My name is Gerrit Oosthuizen and I live with Gillian Greer, my partner and fellow artist, in Hermanus, a picturesque seaside town, near Cape Town in South Africa. I may swap this town but not my country. South Africa is so special, the energy so real, the needs so tangible, kindness abounds, and the future resonates with possibilities.

My personal archive, which I have built up to a huge collection over the years, is full of images that will find its way onto the blog or website. My goal is to share and stimulate, and to create a two way street in communicating with present and future clients or ceramic art patrons.

I love all the good things life has to offer, such as great food & wine, and design of any kind and art. Helé Oosthuizen, my sister, and an artist you will read a lot more of, is a fabulous cook too, the best!

Opportunities to travel in a deadline driven environment is tough, but Gillian and I will grab at any change to visit the Kalahari, an environment of extreme beauty and silence.

Studio statement:

At present the focus is on supplying refreshing tile options for the home environment.

This online infrastructure will be used to create a virtual relationship with past, present and future clients. The goal is to make ourself known to a mobile and diverse global market, offering secure and trusted channels, for acquiring our work.
