Two Lifesize Dancing Figures Will Come Alive With This Ceramic Art Panel By Gillian Greer.

Posted under Ceramic art Tiles

Gillian Greer is in the process of creating this new ceramic arttile panel. It is a commission and will adorn the entrance to a holiday apartment next to the distinguished Marine Hotel, a prestigious Walkerbay property with one of the southern hemisphere’s most spectacular seascapes.

The original drawing was reworked with computer aided editing programs with an aim to recreate the figure. The influence of present day technology will be the foundation when the artist start the transfer of this preparative drawing. The creative control  over ceramic pigments and processes will then be used and abused to recreate the original and subsequent computer aided creative alterations.

A Prestigious New Handmade Tile Panel Will Soon Be Installed Behind This Red Smeg Stove At A Home In The Dainfern Estate, Johannesburg.

Posted under Kitchens Tiles

We were approached by the client’s interior designer with this specific brief. Colour was important and the red of the Smeg stove was to be used all so subtly in the designs. The gray-greens of the cupboards set the tone for the abstract hand painted designs.

This is an image of the tiles packed out on a template at the studio and then visualized for the clients by Gillian Greer, our graphic designer, by  blending it with an image of their present kitchen.

Innovative Use Of A Ceramic Tile Carpet As A Backdrop To A Waterfeature In A Courtyard.

Posted under Fountains

These art deco tiles were commissioned by a client of ours. The handmade tiles were installed on a curved wall in a small private courtyard and served as a backdrop to a freestanding water feature.

Besides being an attractive visual backdrop to the water feature the panel is a pleasure to look at from within the kitchen that borders this patio. As an added benefit the relief Art Deco imitation tile panel  break the glare from the sun on the white walls.
