Trudi Koelenman, a friend and patron of our studio  in Hermanus introduced Hanni Barendrecht to us while visiting South Africa.

She bought this hand painted pincushion tile by Hele Oosthuizen as decoration to her penthouse flat .

We appreciate the effort of clients sending us images of our work in use or installed as decorative art.

There are a huge quantity of work out there that we would wish to receive images of, it does not matter if it was bought yesterday or 21 years ago!

Christiane’s brief required a matt white metro tile.

She is very happy with the look. The texture and structure shows beautifully under light and all these characteristics add to the ambiance of this very special family room.

I hope Christiane will share more images with us. I would love an image from far away to view the interaction of these textures with the rest of the room.

The past days the Cape and Hermanus in particular got drenched by rain. With all the kilns  firing it was quite cosy to work in  but  with the high humidity it takes so much longer to dry production, … and with deadlines looming, we all hope that the sun will shine soon!
